Temperatures let you define temperature ranges for handling and storing temperature-sensitive goods. When these are set up, your team can choose the right temperature requirement and ensure items are stored in the correct areas, reducing spoilage risk and helping you stay consistent with storage rules.

When would you use this? #

  • You store goods that must be kept within a specific temperature range (e.g., chilled, frozen, ambient).
  • You want users to clearly select the correct handling requirement instead of typing it manually.
  • You want more consistent operations and reporting around temperature-controlled storage.

Create a new Temperature range #

  1. Go to Setup > Temperatures.
  2. Enter a Code and Name.
  3. Set the Minimum and Maximum temperatures.
  4. Save.

Edit an existing Temperature range #

  1. Go to Setup > Temperatures.
  2. Open the temperature range you want to update.
  3. Update the name or min/max values as required.
  4. Save.

Field reference (what each field is for) #

  • Code *: A short unique identifier for the temperature range (useful for consistency and quick selection).
  • Name *: The label users will see (e.g., Chilled, Frozen, Ambient).

Additional Details #

  • Minimum (°C) *: The lowest allowed temperature for this range.
  • Maximum (°C) *: The highest allowed temperature for this range.

Tips for good setup #

  • Use names that match how your team speaks (e.g., Chilled 2–8°C).
  • Avoid overlapping ranges unless you have a clear reason (overlap can confuse users).
  • Keep units consistent (these fields are in °C).
